Your Journey Day by Day

Day 01

Arrival in Negombo

Step off the plane and into warm tropical air as your private driver meets you at Bandaranaike International Airport. A short, scenic transfer brings you to a stylish boutique beachfront hotel in Negombo. Freshen up and settle into the pace of island life – the evening calls for a sunset aperitivo by the sea.

Day 02

Journey to Sigiriya

Glide through rural countryside alive with coconut groves, roadside spice stalls and smiling faces at every village. Stop at a local fruit market for exotic tropical tastes before reaching your eco-luxury jungle lodge in Sigiriya. As the day cools, dine beneath a canopy of stars in a private candlelit garden – pure romance.

Day 03

Sigiriya Rock & Village Life

At sunrise, begin the exhilarating climb of Sigiriya Rock Fortress, watching ancient frescoes glow as light fills the valley below. Return for a leisurely late breakfast, then drift across a still lake by catamaran into a traditional village where a warm family lunch awaits. Ayurvedic spa rituals complete the perfect day.

Day 04

Polonnaruwa & Dambulla

Cycle through the fascinating ruins of Polonnaruwa Ancient City, exploring enormous reclining Buddhas, royal bathing pools and medieval shrines at a wonderfully unhurried pace. Afternoon brings the golden world of Dambulla’s cave temples – five caverns filled with over 150 Buddha statues and ceiling murals of devotion and artistry.

Day 05

Matale Spice Gardens & Kandy

Venture through Matale’s fragrant spice gardens, where cinnamon, cardamom and cloves grow in abundance – just like the flavours of Sri Lankan cuisine. Join a hands-on cooking session to master the art of the local spice blend, then continue to Kandy for the sacred Temple of the Tooth and a spectacular cultural performance.

Day 06

Scenic Train to Nuwara Eliya

Board the legendary hill country train for an unforgettable ride through misty tunnels, tea-covered hillsides and cascading waterfalls, one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, visit a historic tea estate for a guided tasting and end the afternoon with a tranquil sunset walk at Gregory Lake.

Day 07

Ella Mountain Retreat

Wake to misty mountain views in Ella, a village suspended above the clouds. Stroll to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge as morning light filters through the jungle canopy. A gentle hike to Little Adam’s Peak rewards you with panoramic vistas. As evening descends, a private dinner with candlelight and mountain views awaits.

Day 08

Yala Safari Experience

Head south to Yala National Park and check into a stylish tented safari lodge where luxury and wilderness meet seamlessly. The afternoon safari brings you face to face with Sri Lanka’s remarkable wildlife – elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo and perhaps the elusive leopard. As the sun sets, the bush becomes gloriously golden.

Day 09

Galle Fort Discovery

Wind along the southern coast to the magnificent walled city of Galle, a living museum of Dutch colonial history. A guided walking tour navigates its cobblestone lanes, art galleries, artisan boutiques and hidden courtyards. As the day ends, climb the ancient ramparts and watch the sun melt into the Indian Ocean.

Day 10

Departure

After a final morning at your heritage hotel within the fort walls, your private driver guides you comfortably back to Bandaranaike International Airport. Sri Lanka bids you farewell with the lingering scent of spice and sea and memories of an island that combines beauty, culture and warmth in ways few places on earth can.
